Despite all the bad news we see, market is not tanking and in fact it is going up slowly. No doubt market will correct now and then. But overall we are heading higher. Asian govt's too pumping money in to market. indian index are up 23+% from the lows. Locally, I like CYBS. In the past I have made money on this. This stock is up 100% from its low's in OCT/NOV.
Covered call options on this stock is best strategy. You can lock in some gains with protection to down slide.

Yesterday I sold VPHM May 2009 $15 covered calls. Collected $2 premium. I.e is about 2K.
As I mentioned in earlier posts, I had bought halliburton 2010 leaps. So far 10%+ up.
I prefer 2011 leaps. This is the best short time dip. correct price for oil is about $80. So we are almost 55% below premium. I like PETD, HAL
I have added leaps 2011 and 2010. Oil, tech 2010 and 2011 leaps are very good. If you are not comfortable just owning you can do spread and collect limited profits.

Friends, it has been 3 months since I posted. I just wanted not to do any thing during bad times. Going forward for next two years we will not be in good shape. Only trading is very short time trading. I have started to add leaps of 2010 and 2011. I will post them this evening.
I have bought MRVL leaps, I will add SNDK leaps today. OIL is in best place to add.
The Dow fell 128.00, or 1.49 percent, to 8,451.49. At its low point Friday, the Dow was down 696.68 at 7,882.51, some 600 points above its low in Wall Street's last bear market, 7,286.27, reached Oct. 9, 2002. It crossed the line between gains and losses 32 times during the session.
Its close was the lowest since April 25, 2003.
Market index stats again told how horrific the run has been on Wall Street:
Looser's are those who sell in panic, who buy large qty of stocks at once, who buy for speculation. Winners are those, who have bought good ETF's, good stocks and write covered calls, take profit in portions.Today, 7/15/08
